About This Trek
The Kedarnath–Tungnath trip combines two of Uttarakhand’s most sacred and scenic Himalayan pilgrimages. Starting from Gaurikund, the 16 km Kedarnath trek takes you through alpine forests, waterfalls, and snow-clad peaks to the revered Kedarnath Temple at 11,755 ft, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. From Chopta, a short yet beautiful 3.5 km uphill trek leads to Tungnath Temple — the highest Shiva temple in the world at 12,073 ft — followed by an optional climb to Chandrashila Peak (13,123 ft) for 360° Himalayan views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. Best time to visit is May–June and September–October for pleasant weather and clear skies, avoiding the monsoon. Badrinath is a holy town and important Hindu pilgrimage site in India's Uttarakhand state, famous for the Badrinath Temple, a dedicated shrine to Lord Vishnu. Located in the Garhwal Himalayas on the Alaknanda river, it is one of India's Char Dhams (four important pilgrimage sites). The town is surrounded by the Nar-Narayana mountain ranges.

Pending Refund: Any refund pending on your booking will be credited to the same mode of payment through which you paid in 5-7 working days after refund is initiated.
Bypass Policy: Any and all Cancellation Policies are superseded by the Emergency Case Cancellation Policy in case of situations such as war, pandemics, force majeure, or similar extraordinary events affecting the tour region.
Trek Suspension & Cancellation Policy – Bengaluru Trekkers
At Bengaluru Yatris, your safety is our highest priority. We rarely cancel or suspend treks. However, in exceptional circumstances where conducting the trek safely is not possible, we may be forced to cancel or modify the trek.
If a trek is cancelled by Bengaluru Yatris due to force majeure, natural calamities (such as continuous heavy rain, floods, landslides, thunderstorms, earthquakes, forest fires, or any other natural disaster), forest department restrictions, government orders, wildlife movement, political unrest, road closures, pandemics, or any other unforeseen situation that compromises the safety of the group, participants will receive a Bengaluru Trekkers Credit Voucher equivalent to the trek fee paid (excluding payment gateway charges, taxes, permits, and any non-refundable third-party charges, if applicable).
The voucher can be used to book any Bengaluru Trekkers event within 12 months from the date of issue.
Important Note 1
If the entire group is required to abandon the trek after the trek has commenced due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, trail damage, withdrawal of forest permissions, government restrictions, or any other safety-related reason, no refund or voucher will be issued, as the trek has already been operationally conducted.
Important Note 2
No refund, voucher, or transfer will be provided if a participant is unable to complete the trek due to personal reasons, including but not limited to:
- Insufficient fitness or inability to maintain the group's pace.
- Illness, injury, altitude sickness, dehydration, or any medical condition.
- Violation of trek rules, including consumption of alcohol, smoking, use of prohibited substances, or misconduct.
- Voluntarily choosing to discontinue the trek.
- Any other personal reason requiring early exit from the trek.
In such cases, any additional transportation or evacuation expenses, if required, shall be borne by the participant.

Balance Payment Deadline: The balance amount must be paid within the specified deadline to confirm your trek booking. If the balance payment is not received on time, the team reserves the right to cancel the booking without prior notice, and the applicable cancellation/refund policy will apply.
